Filiz Çalışlar Yenişehirlioğlu is the Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts, Design  and Architecture at Başkent University in Ankara. After finishing her undergraduate and graduate studies ( Doctorat d’Etat es Lettres et Sciences Humaines) at  University  of Paris – Sorbonne ( Paris IV) in History of Art, she has given  undergraduate and graduate  lectures on History of Art mainly at  Hacettepe University in Ankara and at different universities in Turkey and abroad and supervised graduate work. Her books and articles  include her various research projects on Ottoman Art and Architecture.Her recent projects include  a study of Ottoman ceramic production centers in Istanbul including her excavation of Ottoman ceramic kilns at Tekfur Palace  and the study of tiles at the Topkapı Palace. fyeni@superonline.com
